Topup+ Privacy Policy

Purpose#

This policy describes the personal data processed in connection with the use of Topup+, the airtime top-up, decoder and subscription management, and mobile payment platform operated by IMEDIATIS TECHLAB SARL. It complements IMEDIATIS's general privacy policy.

Scope#

This policy applies to distributors using Topup+ as well as to end users whose transactions are processed by the platform.

Definitions#

• Distributor: a professional using Topup+ to offer top-up and payment services to their own customers.
• End user: a person receiving a top-up, decoder or payment service through a distributor using Topup+.

Principles#

Topup+ processes only the data strictly necessary to carry out top-up, subscription-management and mobile-payment operations, in accordance with the principles set out in IMEDIATIS's general privacy policy and law n° 2024/017.

Rules and commitments#

Data collected#

• distributor identification and account data;
• phone numbers of end users involved in a transaction;
• transaction information (amount, date, type of operation, status);
• data relating to decoders and subscriptions managed through the platform;
• distributor commission history;
• payment data transmitted by the Orange Money and MTN MoMo operators, limited to what is necessary to process the operation.

Notifications#

Topup+ may send notifications related to operations performed (transaction confirmation, balance alert, account information), strictly necessary for the service.

Logging and fraud prevention#

Operations carried out through Topup+ are technically logged to enable fraud detection and prevention, dispute resolution, and compliance with applicable legal obligations.

Account suspension or closure#

A distributor account may be suspended or closed in the event of non-compliance with Topup+'s terms of use, proven or suspected fraudulent behavior, or a legitimate request from the distributor. Associated data is then retained under the conditions described in the general privacy policy.

Partners and providers#

Topup+ relies on payment partners (notably Orange Money and MTN MoMo) and technical providers to process certain operations. These partners receive only the data strictly necessary to perform the service.

Retention#

Data relating to operations is kept for as long as necessary to manage the relationship with the distributor, resolve any disputes, and comply with applicable legal and tax obligations.

Responsibilities#

• IMEDIATIS TECHLAB SARL is responsible for data processing within the Topup+ platform;
• the distributor is responsible for the accuracy of the information they enter and for their use of the platform with respect to their own customers.

Exceptions#

This policy does not cover data processing carried out directly by payment operators (Orange Money, MTN MoMo) as part of their own services, which is governed by their own privacy policies.
